Retirement isn’t what it used to be only a generation or two ago, when it was considered by most to be

a time of peaceful reflection and “aging gracefully.” Now-a- days most of us on retirement, after decades

of working and looking after our family and others, are wondering “what next?” This leads them, in

general towards loneliness and in some cases into depression. Old Generation Rejuvenation Ashram

(OGRA) is a small step towards addressing this issue.

OGRA (Old Generation Rejuvenation Ashram) is a registered charitable trust managed by a team of

senior citizens, working for rejuvenation of senior citizens by actively engaging them in activities of their

choice which also improve the society around. Our goal is to bring this “old & forgotten” section of

society back into the life in a meaningful way that improves us all as a community. Let the old people

also live a purposeful life with honor and dignity.

Presently we are providing senior citizens a recreation center, celebrating their birthdays and facilitating

outings and excursions in small groups and food for needy persons at their place. We are also running a

coaching center for children of underprivileged category of our society.

We are working to start a day care center for senior citizens who can’t live alone at their residence

during day time when their wards are out for work and hope will be able to start them at an earliest.
